Lim Suat Hua graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor in Architecture from the National University of Singapore (formerly known as University of Singapore). She is registered with both the Board of Architects, Singapore and the Board of Architects, Malaysia in 1973. She is a member and past council member of the Singapore Institute of Architecture and a member of the Malaysia Institute of Architects and past member of the Royal Institute of the British Architects.
She was an Associate Partner of RSP Architects, Planners & Engineers Pte Ltd (formerly known as Raglan Squire & Partners) until she established S. H. Lim & Associates in 1979.
Lim Suat Hua, Chairman/Managing Director of S. H. Lim Architects Pte Ltd has a distinguished background in Architecture. She has led the team to become a well- known local Architecture Company. She is also a director of Asiamedic Ltd, a public listed company and Chairman/Directors of numerous private investment and property development companies. She has found time to do community works and is a member of the Tampines Consultation Community Committee, Rotary Club of Singapore and past council member of Lions Club District 308. She was Chairperson of Raffles Institute/Raffles Junior College Parents Association (1991-1997) and member of the Board of Governor, Raffles Institution (1996-2002).
